Purchased after watching in depth video of Gilboys renovation video of a g plan table. I have used Gilboys hot wax and beeswax polish to renovate my late parents 50+years old g plan dining table and chairs( heavily marked and scratched). Looks like new, thank you for both excellent quality products and comprehensive video on how to best use. Thank you.

I purchased the starter kit which arrived quickly and was beautifully put together. I have just used the pure gold polish on a white stain (maybe water) which was very obvious on my light coloured burr elm coffee table. I spent the last few days working on it and although not perfect it is certainly not as obvious. I'm very pleased with the result. I just need to rejuvenate the rest of the table now.

Wow, what a difference from all the other polishes I have used. What I like is that the polish sets hard, almost like a varnish finish but with a very low build. The fact that you have gum in the mix makes all the difference. It is not greasy and polishes well.

I did have to 'learn' how to use it to get the best results, even after watching your helpful and informative videos.

I have used these on a few projects now, and this will be my 'go to' for almost all of my projects where French polish is not needed.

Just to echo what others have said, this is the best polish I've used. Even applying it to sun damaged furniture, it was able to bring back considerable detail in the wood.

This was a Christmas present for my wife to revive some furniture she had recently acquired. She did a test on some other light oak tables and was so impressed by look (and smell) that she is now going to do a full restore of the furniture it was actually bought for!

Also, a big thank-you for the personal touches from Gilboy's - confirming that I wanted the non-tinted wax and for the packaging and message card, this certainly made what could have been described as a utilitarian gift something really special.

The best furniture wax out there!

Having inherited my parents Ercol dining table, I decided it really needed some extra care to try to bring it back nearer to its original condition. Having searched online, I discovered Gilboys UTube video and found this inspirational. It gave me the confidence to have a go at the job myself. I ordered the hard wax oil and the polishing kit - which arrived within days. After sanding, sealing and polishing, I was very pleased with the transformation. Such a smooth finish, and an amazing enriched tone colour to the table top - and job done just in time for Christmas!

Used on my brother's antique church kneeler (teak) and it accentuated the carving and curves wonderfully. Glorious soft sheen.

Pity it's not available on Amazon as the postage to Ireland is punitive!

I’d bought and used this polish before and it was good - but using it with 0000 steel wool makes a HUGE difference and having that included in the kit was good confirmation that this is the way to go,
The product is transformative in combination with the wire wool. Brilliant depth of shine/colour. Previously very average Georgian pieces now look great.
